TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF RUSSIAN-CHINESE TRADE RELATIONS IN CONDITIONS OF GEOPALITIC INSTABILITY

The article examines the process of transformation of Russia's export potential; due to the enormous burden of sanctions, the Russian Federation has faced the need to change its approach to foreign economic activity in favor of Asian countries. In this regard, there is a qualitative change in the structure of export and import positions in trade with China. The position of China as Russia's main trading partner is considered separately and the potential development of cooperation against the backdrop of economic tensions caused by the trade war between the United States and China is assessed. In connection with further assessment of changes in the export situation for the Russian Federation, key problems for the domestic economy that partly depend on pricing in the market for energy and natural resources are identified. The problem of diversifying the economy in terms of the structure of key export positions and trading partners, poses a threat to the economic security of the country as a whole
